Yes, indeed. X Factor 2017 has just revealed the judges categories for this year. The four judges in thos years UK X Factor are Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Nicole Sherzinger.
As usual there were disagreements and clashes as to which category each judge would like to mentor. Just like anything else, this is expected. There will always be conflicts in situations like this. In the end, they just have to settle with what they’ve been allocated to.
The 4 judges have now been given their X Factor categories as listed below:
- Simon Cowell will mentor the Groups
- Sharon Osbourne will deal with the Girls
- Louis Walsh will look after the Boys
- Nicole Sherzinger will care for the Overs
This reality singing show has done really well through the years. If they have to keep on doing the same type of show without any changes year after year, it can get a bit boring.
X Factor’s viewership has not been impressive in recent years. Is it because of Strictly Come Dancing which is aired virtually the same season each year? Or is it just losing it’s sparkle because it’s been on for years and viewers want something completely different?
Maybe it’s a combination of the above? Who knows. In show’s defence, it’s the 14th Season of UK X Factor this year. Now that’s a long time already.
New Twist in X Factor 2017
Six chair challenge was introduced a few years back. It is somewhat similar to the American Idol format. This is the third round of the screening process. It is where the remaining acts in each category will perform one by one in front of the four judges and live audience.
We all know that every single judge that has been on X Factor has a strong personality. But let’s face it. The limited time to make that instant decision whether to say yes or no is a lot of pressure.
And based from previous seasons. They have regretted some of their decisions and actually offered them a slot to take them to the next round or to the live show.
To add some twist to the 2017 show, the mentor for that category will be separated from the rest of the judges. This is probably a good thing as this will limit the chance of other judges influencing the category mentor’s decision. More added pressure for the judges to endure?
How do you feel about the X Factor 2017 auditions so far? Do you think it’s promising?
