I can’t believe week 5 of the X Factor 2017 audition in the UK has just finished. Time flies really quickly, doesn’t it? This year’s audition was aired on Saturday and Sunday nights. There were 8 audition days in total and this weekend was the last two.
Many hopeful singers performed in front of the UK X Factor judges on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th 2017. There were some who were given easy yeses but there were ones that didn’t quite make it to the next round. However, it does make sense. There’s no need to raise hopes of contestants who clearly won’t have a chance in making it to the live show. Unless that contestant has the E Factor, i.e. entertainment factor. Or the F Factor i.e. Fun Factor.
It’s probably a good thing to spice up the show with a bit of entertainment despite a contestant lacking in solid singing talent. If their overall performance can make up for the less than perfect pitch, perhaps, why not? A lot of people will most likely disagree with this.
That is how the show bosses perceives it, methinks. Give them a bit of variety. Some fun to spice up the show up a bit before it gets serious in the quarter and semi finals.. That’s what I think anyway. And the show bosses most likely have a completely different and perfectly valid reason for bringing in a not so great singers at times. Wagner, anyone?
